GhostByte Studios is a veteran-owned technology shop in Williamsburg, Virginia. We take a limited number of clients, build them what their business actually needs, and stay accountable for it afterward.
The Gap Nobody Covers
Most small businesses land in the same spot. You're too big to keep winging it — the website matters now, the missed calls cost real money, and there's a stack of software nobody fully understands. But you're too small to put a technology person on payroll.
So it falls to whoever is least afraid of computers. It gets attention when something breaks, and it gets ignored the rest of the time. Meanwhile the decisions that matter — what to buy, what to replace, whether the quote in front of you is reasonable — get made on a hunch or handed to whoever is selling.
That's the gap we work in. Not as a full-service IT department, and not as another vendor selling you something. As the shop that builds the parts that bring work through your door, and tells you the truth about the rest.

Nobody Gets The Same Build
We start from what you're actually running and where you're trying to get to. A three-truck operation and a growing office need different things, and pretending otherwise is how businesses end up paying for software they never open.

You Own Your Own Things
Your domain, your accounts, your data — registered in your name with you on them. We've seen too many businesses discover their web guy owns their domain. If you ever leave us, you leave with everything.

No Commission On The Answer
When we tell you what to buy, we're not getting a cut from whoever sells it. Sometimes the right answer is that you don't need the thing, or that the cheaper option is fine. You can't get that from someone whose income depends on the upsell.

We'll Say When It's Not Us
We don't administer office networks, workstation fleets, or Microsoft 365 tenants — and we won't learn on your dime. What we will do is tell you what you need, help you pick who does it, and stay on it until it's finished.

Hosting runs on infrastructure from Redacted Hosting, our hosting partner. We'd rather stand behind people we trust than resell a platform we've never spoken to a human at — when your site has a problem at 6am, that relationship is the difference between a fix and a support ticket.
The same logic applies everywhere else. Where work sits outside what we do, we'd rather point you at someone good than fumble it ourselves.
